Eventful easter and time that flies
april 19, 2009 at 8:57 pm | In Linn in Canada | 5 CommentsSo here I am with only two weeks and a day left in Montreal. I have just finished two of my exams (in one day, yes!), I am eagerly waiting for vacation on Thursday at noon, and I am still surprised that Montrealers think that sunny +10 is shorts, T-shirt and flip flop weather. The last two weeks have been busy and rather eventful so it is time for an update (LM style!).
- Easter was spent with sisters with credit cards. It was once again lovely to have visitors and the 3 Søstrene Sisters quized, tanned, shopped, played and laughed at lot. I got to show them Montreal and my friends. Happy times!
- I even got a big chocolat easter egg from KM. Pascal chocolate = mmmmm
- The most important news right now is that I HAVE GOT A JOB!!!! The offer came before easter and after a lot of soul searching during the vacation, I accepted the job at Sundvolden. I am quite excited to start working there (even though it is 50 min from Oslo…)
- Also, although not that funny or important, is that I have caught a bad cold which won’t go away. Buuhuu… It sucks to feel like an old smoking woman who gets tired from walking less than 50 meters.
- I have had my french oral presentation about Asterix 3 times. Once to my class, once to a computer and finally to my sisters, with a bit of translation.
- KM, AM and me have been taken to be lesbians… Since we told some random people we were going to the Gay village to see a cabaret, which we actually did (weeeeeird and funny), but just as audience…. Poor stupid guy wanted to make conversation with 3 beautiful Norwegian girls, lost hope and thought we were gay, and then made a complete fool out of himself when we pointed out that we were not…
- Nowadays Montreal has Habs fever. The Canadiens made it to the play-offs, but are getting their asses beaten by Boston Bruins, unfortunately. I wonder if hockey town Montreal will go into depression if they don’t make it to the semi’s….
- I can inform you that I have beaten Jacob and his friend Justin in FuSSball all by myself
- I have met a muscian called Leif Vollebekk who could speak a little bit of Norwegian and had made a song in Islandic…
- I have watched Ice Age 2 in french
- I have watched a lot more Soccer (Man.U) the last two weeks that I have done during the whole year. It is sweet to watch soccer for breakfast with your sisters, not that fun by yourself, but ok!
Good Morning?
april 7, 2009 at 9:16 pm | In Linn in Canada | 3 CommentsToday, after a not exactly good night’s sleep, this happened:
- 5am – GB calls. Says something about a joboffer… Can’t really recall what else…
- 7am – PI calls KM. “What are you up to? Sleeping??? Oh, you’re in Canada…. Completely forgot that”
- 9am – Another call. And my second job offer is a reality…
Also a way to wake up, three times… And job offer or not, I have really no idea what I should do this fall. Work outside Oslo and completely ruin my social life, or wait for job offers in Oslo? And where should I live?? I have really no idea!
Decisions… Blæh!
